Here’s some fan art that I don’t think I ever posted. I did it a while back for my buddy, James Riot, and his awesome comic The Path! It’s a combination of Arthurian Legends and Cthulhu Mythology about an ex-priest, a russian prostitute , a werewolf and Nyarlathotep! Cool ass stuff!

Fantastic Groove!

Here’s a picture I did of my buddy Marcel’s character Fantastic Groove (based on a mutual friend named Jami). I was commissioned to do it in December for Jami’s birthday that’s in November…so it’s a little late! But, Marcel did take 3 years to get me his fantastic piece, so turnaround is fair play!

Phineus and his funky pants

I did this long ago, when I first started self publishing. I used this as a promotional tool for a long time. I even had a cut out of it I toted around for years. (I eventually gave it to a fan who nearly fainted when I did!) I recolored the back ground and tweaked the colors digitally, but it’s pretty much the same. I always loved the attitude Phin exuded in this one.

Here is an old card design I did way back. I had intended to use them as trading card art, but never followed through. All of the cards I’ll be posting use Markers to color with, which are loads of fun to use. I typically color with the computer these days, so every now and then I bust out the old Berol Markers and go to town!

This was the original concept for Lucretia, the demon from The Glamour. Although I like the design, I decided to go with a more pleasant design, as you can see. This one was extra drippy and vile! Not that that is a bad thing!

This was a concept sketch I did back when we were prepping for the comic. I did this one using oil pastels, kind of like a waxy crayon. It gives a more painted feel. They are a lot of fun to work with. I need to do some more painterly work like this . Maybe someday I’ll squeeze a few in and let you guys see them.

Ok, seriously, this is sooo old school. It is the very first drawing I did of our girl. It was like 1986, I think. I did this before I designed Phineus, and yes, even at 16 I drew big boobs! I can’t believe I actually found this! What a blast from the past!

The Tiki God

This is totally old school, from my sketchbook circa 1992. This is the basis for a Halloween Costume I had one year. I dressed in a sarong and a funky mask and as I entered new room, I yelled “I am the Tiki God!” at the top of my lungs.

It’s also the basis for the character I may use in this years 24 hour comic, if he wins the poll on ths site. Get voting!
